For use on general-purpose gates around homes and gardens, the key-lockable LokkLatch is hard to beat.
Includes External Access Kit allowing the main latch to be operated from outside the fence. (Note that locking the Push-Button does not lock the main latch inside the fence).
The new Series 2 model is even better than the original, with a reshaped latch body and striker housing making a more stylish and ergonomic product. LokkLatch Series 2 also offers a higher degree of versatility, with up to 1/2" (13mm) of vertical adjustment available any time during or after installation to ensure reliable operation. With adaptor plates included in the kit, the one model suits all square post gate and fencing materials as well as left or right hinged gates for easy installation.
This was just about the only solution I could find for a large/small post setup. Very easy to install and stays locked so my dog can’t get out. Will buy more

I’m in Maintenance 17 years, these are the best for pool and spa gates, they lock easily, super easy to use, and way less expensive than installing knob style catches. I give ‘em a total thumbs up!
