Eye tops are also known as loop caps, line post caps, eye toppers, eye caps, and several other names. Eye tops in chain link fencing applications are mounted over the line posts. In top rail style fences, round tubing is slid into the loop of the eye top to create a horizontal top rail above the line posts. In standard chain link fencing, a tension wire is pulled through the loop of the eye top.
