Rail End For Chain Link Fence Top Rails - Sizes 1-3/8 to 2-3/8 inches
Description:
Rail ends are used to connect top rail, bracing pipe, or support rail within a line of fencing. They are sometimes referred to as end caps or rail caps, this is because they are found at the end (start) of a run of fence. Each rail cap is held in place by a carriage bolt and brace band.
*Note, our rail ends are made from steel that has been welded and hot-dip galvanized vs. an aluminum cast rail end. We supply steel rail ends because of their added strength and support for chain link fences. Aluminum rail end caps can be found at home depot's outdoor section, for those in search of the Master Halco aluminum cast and supplied rail end type.
What Size Rail End?
The smallest rail end is most often designed to fit a 1 3/8" outside diameter pipe. The largest is a 2 3/8". Larger sizes may be in existence, however the standard range is between a 1 3/8" to 2 3/8". The assumption made by the average fence professional is that residential grade fence will be either 1 3/8" or 1 5/8" and commercial fence applications will be 1 5/8" minimum.
